About Us

We are Lakeside Harmony, an all-voices a cappella chorus based out of the Arts on the Lake community arts center in Carmel, New York.
Our mission is "To provide public appreciation of a capella harmony as a mixed chorus through public and charitable performances."
We participate in Barbershop Harmony competitions, present an annual Cabaret night, and sing at different events in the lower Hudson Valley region.

The roots for Lakeside Harmony come from the founders' (Robert Bradley, Wynn Gadkar-Wilcox) love of singing. Both have long been immersed in the Barbershop Harmony Society where they met singing in the same chorus. Wilcox, who is classically trained in voice, is our Musical Director. He has been part of Men’s Chorales, Jazz Choirs Chamber Groups, and Barbershop choruses, quartets and octets. While attending UC Berkeley, he studied Jazz and Blues with Aaron Blumenfeld. Wilcox further developed his love for harmony by serving as vice President of Music with the Mixed Harmony Brigade of New England. In 2023, he attended conductor training at the Barbershop Harmony Society's Harmony University. He also happens to be a professor and co-chair of History at Western Connecticut State University.
